Lovely amount of teams registrered already!
With two months left until the spring's great orienteering party, it is satisfying that the number of teams registered to today's date by far surpasses last year's figure at the same time. It is particularly satisfying to note that last year's trend with plenty of foreign teams in the youth race seems to continue. Several clubs from Norway and Finland come with two or three youth teams with Asker SK at the top, who has reported a total of four teams. We also see that the Czech youth teams that came last year also sign up. A blast!
Now we hope that all Swedish clubs will meet this so that as many as possible of our young people can take part of the party. We would also like to give our young people a little extra in connection with this year's competition, so we offer some extra activites that may appeal to them. We will keep the swimming pools in Broby and Osby open during Saturday night so if anyone wants to take a dip there then you can go do so at no cost. Our buses for those who live on hard surfaces can be used to get to the swimming pools which are 10 min away.
We will also offer open courses on Sunday mornings if some young people want to bring another experience from this year's Tiomila. In addition to this, the speaker team promises this year some extra features about arena production. Finally a little clarification about this year's youth courses: Leg number 2 is 4.5 km and not 4.9 km as stated in the invitation. The starting leg has 900 m of marked strips and legs 700 m which are included.
