Information for runners, team leaders and other interested people.
There will be LIVE-tracking on the women’s leg 5 and on the men’s leg 2, 4, 7 and 10. On each of these legs 20 teams will be tracked. If your team is in the leading group on any of these legs it is likely to be selected for tracking.
At least one hour before estimated start of the leg the organizers will select which teams are to carry a GPS-unit. For the runners selected for LIVE-tracking it will be mandatory to wear a GPS-unit. Any team refusing to carry the GPS-unit will be disqualified by the organizers.
The unit weighs 113 grams and must be carried in a back strap supplied by the organizers. The back strap must be worn underneath the outer shirt. For the night legs the back strap must be worn outside the battery.

The GPS-unit will be handed to the runner at the check-in to the start area. The runners selected for carrying the unit will be announced by the speaker no later than 1 hour before the estimated start of the leg and a list of selected runners will be posted at check-in.
Responsibility of the runner/team It is the responsibility of the team and the runner: # to be informed about whether their runner should carry a GPS # to report to the check-in and to put on the GPS # to return the GPS to the officials right after the finish line There will be officials at the check-in to assist putting on the GPS.
Time schedule The hand out of the GPS-units will proceed according to the following time-table:

Information and trying the unit on TracTrac and the organizers will be available for questions regarding the LIVE-tracking at the check-in of the start area during the first 3 legs of the women’s relay. During this time it will also be possible the GPS-units and back straps will be available for the runners to try on.
